What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how visitors use the service.
Cookies we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-*-auth-token | Keeps you signed in to your account (Supabase Auth). | Strictly necessary | Session / 1 year |
| _ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics: distinguishes unique visitors and tracks page views. No personal data is sent to Google; IP anonymisation is enabled. | Analytics | Up to 2 years |
Strictly necessary cookies
The authentication cookie is required for the platform to function. Without it, you cannot sign in or submit predictions. This cookie does not require consent under UK cookie regulations because the service cannot operate without it.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site: which pages are popular, where visitors come from, and how long they stay. This helps us improve the platform. GA4 operates with IP anonymisation enabled, meaning Google does not store your full IP address.
Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary. By continuing to use the site, you consent to their use. You can opt out by:
- Installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Third-party cookies
If you sign in via Google OAuth, Google may set its own cookies as part of the authentication flow. These are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. If you make a payment, Stripe may set cookies during checkout, governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
Managing cookies
Most browsers allow you to view and delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent you from signing in or using certain features of the platform.
