Who we are

MundialPredict is operated by Fira Software Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. You can reach us at firasoftwareltd@gmail.com.

What data we collect

• Email address — used to create and authenticate your account via Supabase Auth.
• Display name and username — chosen by you, shown on leaderboards and in pools.
• Match predictions — your score predictions for World Cup matches.
• Pool membership — which prediction pools you create or join.
• Usage data — pages visited and general interaction patterns, collected via Google Analytics. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Why we process your data

• To operate your account and let you make predictions.
• To display leaderboards and pool rankings (your display name and scores are visible to other players).
• To send transactional emails (magic-link sign-in). We do not send marketing emails.
• To improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns.

Legal basis: contract performance (operating the service you signed up for) and legitimate interest (analytics to improve the platform).

Where your data is stored

Account data and predictions are stored in a Supabase-hosted PostgreSQL database in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). The website is served by Vercel, which may use edge locations globally. Google Analytics data is processed by Google under their own terms.

How long we keep your data

We retain your account and prediction data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregate statistics (total player count, prediction accuracy distributions) may be retained indefinitely.

Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes. Data is shared only with the service providers needed to run the platform: Supabase (database and authentication), Vercel (hosting), Google (analytics), and Stripe (payment processing for donations and pool purchases).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Request a portable copy of your data.

Children

MundialPredict is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
